Instructions for how to complete your portfolio assessment.

Step 1:

• Log in to the course wiki.
• Click on Fall07 ENG071 Portfolios and then choose your name from the list.
• Edit your page to include your name, a photo, and a short paragraph about you. No personal information. Photo must be 150x150. If you don't know how to resize, email the photo to me.
  
• Create a page for your first essay. Then upload the essay.
• Create a link from your portfolio page to the newly uploaded essay page.
  

This step must be completed on Wednesday, October 21st. Written instructions and screencasts will be available on Wednesday.

• Be patient. Screencasts may take a minute to load. If you're on campus the network may be too busy to view these. You'll have to view at home.
  

Step 2:

1. Click on the Student Portfolios links and choose your name from the list.
2. On your front page you should see a list of your essays:

· My Assessments:

• Essay #1: Rhetorical Analysis
• Essay #2: Essay (Use Essay #1)
• Essay #3: ( Use Essay #2)
• Essay #4: Argumentative Research Paper
• Personal Reflection Assessment #1
• Personal Reflection Assessment #2

1. Previously you were to create links to these assessments where you were to post Essay #1 and Essay #2. If you haven’t created links, read the previous instructions to find out how to do this.
2. Click on one of your assessments and go to your Essay #1 or Essay #2 page.
3. From the Essay page, click the Add a New Page link on the left menu bar. Title your page: Alisa (Use Your Name) Personal Reflection 1.
   
4. Choose the template: Personal Reflection. The second and third time you do this, change the number to 2 and 3.

5. Choose which reflection you are doing and edit the page. When you are finished, you need to create a link from the Essay page.

6. Go back to the Essay page you first chose. At the bottom of the page create the link.
7. Type: Personal Reflection for this Essay. Then highlight the text and click the Link button on the easy edit toolbar.
8. Type in your first name and choose the personal reflection page you just created.
