  • Personal Reflection (Assessment #2: Final Exam)

As a master writer, do you feel that you have mastered all aspects of the writing process? As the best writer that I can be I do not feel that I have conquered all aspects of the writing process just because of the simple fact that I believe there is always room to grow. The areas that I can admit that I have improved in is making sure that all of my thoughts flow and are placed in the correct spot, but I know that there are areas I need improvement in such as punctuation and grammar, but I also know that I have learned more as a writer like being able to stick to the topic and not straying away from the topic more than I should. The first thing as a writer I know that I have improved on is making sure that my thoughts continue to flow and are placed in the correct spot of the paragraph. These are important factors especially when it comes to being a great writer. By making sure that your thoughts flow and are placed in the correct spot affects your writing skills because if your ideas don’t flow and are not placed correctly then your writing process does not come together in the long run. The second thing as a writer I know is that there are areas that I need improvement on such as punctuation and grammar. These factors a important basically because you need to have the correct punctuation and grammar in your writing so that you and the reader will know what type of statement you are making and they will know that your grammar is correct when reading the material. The final thing as a writer I know is that I have learned and gained more information than what I had when I started. As a writer I have learned when writing about a topic you need to stick to the topic and not to stray off the topic to far just because it leads to more information about the topic than needed. It also starts other stories and topics in the material that you are writing about more so than you really wanted it to. So the question in the beginning was do I feel that I have become a better writer? Yes because I have grown as a writer in many different ways than before. I have improved on making sure that my thoughts and ideas flow consistently, but I’m improving on my punctuation and grammar, but I have learned to stick the topic and not straying away from the topic more than I should.
